Thea Bowman House Enabling culturally diverse children and families to achieve their full potential. Francis de Sales School at 309 Genesee Street.

We operate out of two sites in the city of Utica, one at 731 Lafayette Street and the other at the former St. We currently serve over 300 children ages 18 months through 18 years.

Every family who walks through our doors deserves the opportunity to thrive, and every child deserves a safe place to learn, laugh, and grow.
Our programs are about so much more than childcare. They're about building confidence, creating opportunities, and strengthening our community one family at a time.

On Friday, September 18, Thea Bowman House will once again participate in Mohawk Valley Gives, a community-wide day of generosity that makes a tremendous impact for local nonprofits.
This year, we're raising funds for something very special: a brand-new playground for the children we serve.
Every day, children come through our doors looking for a safe place to learn, play, grow, and simply be kids. Together, we can give them an outdoor space where imaginations can flourish and lifelong memories can be made.
