Multi-Ethnic Association of Burma MEAB The goals of these services and programs are intended to support refugees to obtain self-sufficiency and foster active involvement in the community.

The Multi-Ethnic Association of Burma (MEAB) is a community organization that works to meet the unique needs of the growing Burmese/Karen population in the Mohawk Valley. Formed in 2009, we facilitate integration into the larger community and increase the capacity of the refugee community to address the needs of individuals and families. MEAB works with many partners and organizations in the commu

nity to provide enhanced services and programs to address community needs, such as cultural orientation sessions, employment trainings, and health promotion workshops.

(Multi-Ethnic Association of Burma) M.E.A.B' Soccer Team are going to compete in the 6th annual Redeemer Cup Soccer Tournament again this year. It will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 4th & 5th, again at Proctor Park on Culver Ave. in Utica.

First day of Leadership Training is over and second day is going to start tomorrow @ 8:30 AM. There were some MEAB Board Members, youth leadres and community working groups representatives attended today.

MEAB is going to have leadership training for its Board Members and youth leaders from local Burmese Community in Utica, NY from 09/14 to 9/15/2012 in the purpose of mainting organization. It will take place at Refugee Center.
