Have you set up your health profile on your phone?

Almost all mobile devices offer a feature such as a Medical ID or Health Profile for no extra cost. This is a great feature to help emergency responders in the event you can’t help us. You can even share it with the 911 dispatcher when you call helping responders treat you and your medical conditions more appropriately. Only a few days left to get your tickets for the Oglesby Ambulance pork chop dinner on June 1st from 4:30-7p.m. Drive thru only at the Oglesby Elks. Tickets are available at Oglesby city hall or the fire department.

Your friends at the Utica Fire Department would like to remind you that hydration is cheaper than an ambulance ride.

Please:
*Drink water before you become a raisin
*Stay on marked trails
*Use sunscreen like it’s part of your treatment plan
*Remember that “shortcut” usually becomes “search and rescue operation” so just don't take it......

If you do decide to wrestle a raccoon, or hike 12 miles in flip flops… at least know your location before calling 911.

📸📸 Flashback Friday 📸📸

What better way to end EMS week then to look back on the history of the EMS service in Utica.

Utica Community Ambulance Service began serving the community in 1980, initially providing basic first aid and emergency medical care. In 1998, the service advanced its level of care by staffing ambulances with Intermediate providers, significantly expanding the medical services available to local residents. Then, in 2012, Utica EMS further enhanced patient care by introducing Paramedic-level providers on its ambulances — a standard that continues to serve the community today.
