The Utica Fire Protection District is proud to announce that the Office of the State Fire Marshal has awarded the District a $26,000 grant for the purchase of small equipment.

These funds will be used to acquire five portable radios equipped with both digital and VHF communication capabilities. The digital functionality of these radios is critical for interoperability with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Illinois State Police during emergency incidents at Starved Rock State Park.

This purchase will enhance communication, improve coordination among responding agencies, and help ensure the highest level of service and safety for our residents and visitors.

We are grateful to the Office of the State Fire Marshal for its continued support.
