Expanding the ability for our community to both have access to, and interact with their government is a major priority of my work as Mayor.

While this is the first step in many advancements, coming soon is also a completely revised website (when launched will be a .gov), we are pleased to start our phased roll out of our public facing cross platform service portal for many of our permits which have been "paper only" for far too long, and new capabilities like the ability for the public to search for property actions and histories with ease.

More to come.

If you visit city hall you'll also be greeted with full size access portals in the codes department and engineering department, and our employees will be happy to assist you in person as well.

It was a pleasure to attend the courtroom dedication ceremony honoring U.S. District Court Judge David Hurd at the Alexander Pirnie Federal Building & Courthouse in Utica.

I have also had the great privilege of being invited by Judge Hurd to participate in naturalization ceremonies, where I had the honor of joining him in welcoming hundreds of new Americans as they took the Oath of Allegiance and officially became citizens of our country.

Today, it was an additional honor to present Judge Hurd with a proclamation from the City of Utica recognizing his many years of dedicated service to our judicial system.

Judge Hurd’s commitment to justice, public service, and our community is truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations, Judge Hurd, on this well-earned honor, and thank you for your years of service to our community and our nation.

Today, alongside community leaders, my administration had the privilege of attending the 15th Annual Urban Leadership Institute First Responder Academy Graduation Ceremony.

These outstanding young people spent their summer developing leadership skills and gaining hands-on experience alongside seasoned first responders. The City of Utica is proud to have funded this important program to help expand opportunities for our youth.
It was especially meaningful to have Safe Schools present me and the City of Utica with the “Investing in the Future Award.”

Congratulations to all of the graduates.

Your hard work, leadership, and commitment are something to be proud of. The future of our community is in good hand.

Good luck Thea Bowman House in the new school year!

You deserve every bit of support for your organization and the children and families you so kindly and genuinely care for.

Thank you to our friends at Bank of America for creating a long standing tradition of “back to school “ supplies and backpacks. One week left to go.

This afternoon I attended the ground breaking for Parkway Gardens, the Parkway Gardens development will create a new neighborhood of affordable homes within People First’s growing portfolio of modern residences. The commitment to affordable homes which families can thrive and grow is clear in the mission of People First, and an essential component within the housing options of our city.
