Saturday, May 30th Utopia VFD's monthly training was on setting up and using our external tank with our Tender (water tanker). We filled and drafted 3500 gallons of water a number of times making sure everything is in good working order.

Burn Ban was “lifted” in Uvalde county as of today April 13th.

As of today, April 13th:
Uvalde County is under a burn ban.
Bandera County is under a burn ban.
Medina County is under a burn ban. However, the fire marshal, when contacted, can grant permission for a one- or two- day burn permit depending on that day's condition.
Real County is under a burn ban. However, today (April 13th) the commissioners court is meeting to determine to lift it or not.

Burn Ban Status:
The following counties have burn bans still in place: Bandera, Uvalde, Medina, and Real. Those of you who have received rain, you can always call your local "non-emergency" county dispatch and ask them for a permit to burn. It is up to them to grant you a permit if your county is under a ban.

I would like to extended to each of you a very Happy Easter!
Jesus is risen indeed!
Happy Easter (Resurrection Day) y'all!
My prayer for you today is that you will experience a personal touch from God's precious Holy Spirit today that will draw you closer to Jesus than you ever have before. That you would be encouraged with great joy and peace that would refresh your soul.
If you have been dealing with hurts, pain, rejection, worry, uncertainty, or any recent struggle that has robbed you of great joy, please take a moment to ask Jesus to come into your life in a new and mighty way.
Pray this prayer with your heart right now:
Jesus,
Thank you for going to the cross as payment for my sins. Forgive me of my sins. I give you permission to come into my life. Be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. Teach me how to live for you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer with sincerity, let me encourage you with 2 things. First, find your Bible. Dust it off. Start reading it everyday. Start with the book of Matthew. Keep reading every morning. Second, find a local church and get plugged in. A good church is one that when you walk through the doors, you experience the love the people have for you, each other, and for Jesus. The worship team is worshipping Jesus. And the preacher is preaching directly out of the Bible the same thing you are reading in your Bible.
You really are a blessing!
You are greatly loved by your Father in Heaven. And God has a really good plan for your life. Let Him show you!

The Bandera motorcycle rally this weekend brings hundreds of extra visitors to our area. Please be extra aware of all the motorcycles on our roads. Many of them do not know our roads, hills, curves, etc... please be patient. Thank you guys!
