Uvalde County’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has the responsibility to coordinate all City and County emergency response plans. OEM’s responsibilities are to identify vulnerabilities, effectively mitigate disasters, assist with public and first responder education, respond to emergency situations when activated, protect Uvalde County’s first responders, ensure continuity of government and

business, and to facilitate an effective recovery. OEM will coordinate with local, regional, state, and federal agencies, as well as private entities to develop, maintain, and implement the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
