Thank you Ransom and Uvalde County 4-H!!!
We are always appreciative of donations from our generous community. These will be put to good use.

Uvalde County 4-H member Ransom Barnett recently delivered healthy snacks to Manza Hale for the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department. Donations from Uvalde County 4-H members included electrolyte drinks, water bottles, granola bars, and many other healthy snack items as a small token of appreciation for the hard work and dedication of our local firefighters and first responders.
We are truly grateful for the men and women who give their time to protect and serve our community each day. Whether responding to emergencies, helping during difficult times, or keeping our families safe, their commitment does not go unnoticed. Uvalde County 4-H is proud to support and thank these hometown heroes for all they do for our community

Uvalde firefighters stayed busy Tuesday night responding to numerous emergency calls following thunderstorms that brought heavy rain and strong winds to the area.

At approximately 8:05 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to a house fire in the 700 block of Ft. Clark Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the attic of the residence. Crews quickly initiated roof ventilation and an aggressive interior fire attack.

Thanks to the rapid response and coordinated efforts of firefighters, the blaze was contained to the attic, preventing further damage and saving the home.

In addition to the structure fire, crews handled a series of weather-related calls throughout the evening, remaining actively engaged from 7:00 p.m. until approximately 10:30 p.m.

In honor of International Firefighters’ Day, the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department was proud to welcome five members from the Acuña Fire Department in Mexico. The Acuña firefighters joined us this evening for training, along with a firefighter from the La Pryor Fire Department.

Our crews first met the Acuña team last year while deployed to the Kerrville flood, and it’s an honor to train together again. Uvalde Fire continues its long-standing tradition of Monday night training while strengthening partnerships with our neighboring departments.
