Congratulations, Daniel Perez! 🎉 Daniel began his journey with McDonald’s in Eagle Pass at the age of 18, working in the Kitchen Department at the McDonald’s located inside Walmart while pursuing his college education. During this time, he took advantage of the McDonald’s Archways to Opportunity program to further his academic goals.

While continuing to work at McDonald’s, Daniel successfully earned his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He later transferred to our McDonald’s location on Del Rio Blvd., where he continued his educational journey by enrolling in the SWTJC Law Enforcement Academy.

Since September 2025, Daniel has demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment by working full-time at McDonald’s during the day while attending the police academy in the evenings from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Today, we are proud to celebrate Daniel’s hard work, perseverance, and achievement as he graduates from the police academy and becomes a certified Texas Peace Officer.

All of us here are incredibly proud of you, Daniel. Thank you for being an outstanding employee and for setting a great example for others who wish to continue their education while working at McDonald’s. We wish you continued success in your future career.

🚨🚨 DIRECT ALERRT COURSES 🚨🚨
ALERRT LEVEL 1 (16 hrs.)

In June, we will be hosting two ALERRT Level I Direct Courses in Uvalde. These courses are in high demand and will be instructed by certified Direct ALERRT subject matter experts. At this time, we are prioritizing registration for agencies within the Middle Rio Grande COG region full-time officers before opening enrollment to surrounding counties.
