🚨 Municipal Landfill Update – Important Notice for City of Uvalde Residents 🚨

Please be advised that all currently waived landfill disposal fees will end effective Saturday, August 15, 2026.

Beginning Monday, August 17, 2026, standard disposal fees will apply to all items, including flood-related debris.

Landfill Hours:
🗓️ Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
🗓️ Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
❌ Closed Wednesdays for processing

Additional Information:
✔️ Tires are accepted for a fee based on size.
❌ Batteries, oil, and hazardous materials are not accepted.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as our community continues its recovery efforts. We appreciate everyone doing their part to help keep Uvalde clean and safe.

🚧 NOTICE: Cooks Slough Nature Park Closed 🚧

Due to extensive flood damage, Cooks Slough Nature Park, located at 572 County Road 106, is closed until further notice.

The flooding has created unsafe conditions throughout the park, and the closure is necessary to protect the safety of visitors while damage assessments and cleanup efforts are underway.

We kindly ask the public to respect all posted closures and barriers and to avoid entering the park until it has been deemed safe to reopen.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore this beautiful natural area. Updates regarding the park's reopening will be shared as they become available.
