Free Food Distribution Event in Uvalde!

We're excited to announce a Free Food Distribution event for the Uvalde community, hosted in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank and El Progreso Memorial Library. This event supports families in need by offering various produce and meat products.

📅 Date: Friday, September 18th
📍 Location: Uvalde CISD Transportation parking lot, 1009 N. Camp Street
⏰ Time: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (or while supplies last)
📝 Registration: On-site registration is required; no ID is needed.
🚗 Arrival: Please arrive no earlier than 10:00 am.

We are ecstatic to name Dr. (Coach) Hinojosa as our lone finalist for Superintendent! Looking forward to great things and a brighter future for our community.

Exciting News for Uvalde CISD!

The Uvalde CISD Board of Trustees has unanimously named Dr. Juan M. Hinojosa as the Lone Superintendent Finalist for our district!

Dr. Hinojosa has served as our Interim Superintendent since April 2026, bringing more than three decades of experience in Texas public education — from coaching and athletic administration to campus leadership at Harlandale Middle School to district operations at Harlandale ISD.

As required by state law, a 21-day waiting period is now underway, with a contract expected on or after September 17, 2026.
