Hi everyone, we're starting early on getting interest for the next free VCERT class in the Fall time frame. We haven't finalized a date yet but don't let that stop you from expressing your interest. We have scheduled our Fall VCERT class. Mark your calendars if you are interested in becoming a VCERT member, have sessions you need to make up, or are currently a member and wish to hone up on your skills.
Class #14 will begin on September 20, 2012 and will run for five consecutive Thursday evenings 6:00-9:00. The venue has changed to the training room of the Fire Department, 650 Merchant Street. For those who were in earlier classes I think you'll find that things have changed a bit. We're using new manuals with information current to 2011, have more 'hands-on' exercises and new instructors.
Please, pass on this information to your friends and family so we can keep this worthwhile program going. Remember, in an emergency, the only person your family and neighbors may turn to to help them is YOU.

We will be holding VCERT Class #13 beginning in April. The classes will be held on five consecutive Thursday evenings from April 19 to May 19, 2012 and a Practical Skills Exercise on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The five Thursday sessions will be held at the Vacaville Police Department, 660 Merchant Street, from 6-9 PM. The Saturday exercise will be held from 8-noon at the Vacaville Council Chambers. The class is offered FREE to all Vacaville residents aged 18 and above. Great class this weekend. We had over 20 students that attended the CERT Animal Response 1 class. Thanks to the two great instructors. Look for the Response 2 class in the near future.
