In celebration of Global Recycling Day, Vacaville Recycling would like to highlight our Battery Recycling program! Did you know that if you leave a full zip lock bag of batteries on top of your blue cart, your Recology driver will recycle them for you? It’s true! The City of Vacaville has free Battery Recycling Bags for residents to collect and dispose of their used batteries. Request your free Battery Recycling Bag by contacting [email protected] or (707) 469-6507 and leaving your name, address, and amount of free battery bags you would like. Your new Battery Recycling Bags will be mailed directly to your home. Additionally, you can also drop of your full battery bags and get a free replacement Battery Recycling Bag at the Recology Vacaville Solano Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility located at 855 ½ Davis St in Vacaville every Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Note: Acceptable batteries for this program include Alkaline (AAA, AA, C, D, 9V, etc.), Rechargeable, and Button (Please tape over the contact points of lithium batteries, which are most Rechargeable and Button batteries).
