Thank you to everyone who joined us at Troy Burne on Monday, June 1, for Merrick’s 31st Annual Charity Golf Scramble. Thanks to your generosity and support, we raised more than $67,000 in gross proceeds to support our mission.

We are especially grateful to our event sponsors, Royal Credit Union and Total Mechanical Services, whose partnership helped make this year’s event a success.

We also extend our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors for their support. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference and helps us continue serving those who rely on Merrick every day.

Merrick’s Annual Plant Sale kicks off in less than 24 hours!

Join us tomorrow, Friday, May 8, from 3 to 6 pm to shop a variety of hanging baskets, 6-packs, patio pots, succulents, and more. The sale continues Saturday, May 9, from 9 am to 12 pm, with proceeds supporting our programs for adults with disabilities.

Yesterday, the halls of Merrick’s Willow Lake Blvd program came alive. Red and yellow streamers filled the space, balloons floated high, and signs proudly declared, “Go, Team Flash!” Staff even joined in, wearing customized shirts with the iconic lightning bolt symbol to celebrate Moses “Mo,” a client of three years.

This Monday, Mo will take on the Boston Marathon alongside his partner Mark Hulsey, riding in a customized running chair. Staff had been planning this surprise send-off for weeks, knowing Mo has always dreamed of being a superhero. Now he gets to be one.

As Mo and Mark made their way through the building, the halls were lined with cheering friends, waving pom-poms and chanting, “Go, Mo, Go!” Mo’s smile said everything.

Tickets for Merrick’s Duluth Getaway Raffle are now on sale! For just $10 per ticket, you can enter for a chance to win our grand prize: a Duluth Getaway Package featuring a $500 Canal Park Lodge gift certificate, along with additional Duluth attractions.

The second-place winner will receive a YETI Roadie 60 Wheeled Cooler, and the third-place winner will be awarded a $100 Visa gift card.

The drawing will be held on Sunday, April 26. Winners will be announced at the Bowl-A-Thon; however, you do not need to be present to win.
