The purpose of the AFSA High School FFA Alumni, as copied from the constitution, is to:

Support and promote the FFA Organization FFA activities and agricultural education on local, state and national levels. Provide a tie to the FFA and to assist FFA and agricultural education personnel to involve former members and others interested in supporting worthy activities. Promote greater knowledge of agricultural industry and support education in agriculture.

We invite you to join us for our Annual AFSA Potato Hug on Saturday, October 4th 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at AFSA High School! The event is open to the public so invite friends and family!

The Hug is a showcase of student projects, school offerings, and community involvement. This event provides students the opportunity to be vendors and sell their products created for their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). Each project is an opportunity for students to demonstrate professionalism, develop entrepreneurial skills, and showcase their hard work.

Not only do we have students selling their creations but we also have a baked potato bar, a student art show and more! See you at the Hug!

Science Fair Judges Needed! Be a part of this year's 24th Annual AFSA High School Science Fair! All students at AFSA must complete a science fair project and present their findings to a panel of judges. This year, we are holding two science fair nights, February 6 for grades 7-9 and February 20 for grades 10-12 and we need your help! For each night we need about 40 science fair judges. We invite you to our 11th Annual Potato Hug, October 5, 2024 , 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at AFSA High School! The Hug is a showcase of student projects (grades 7-12), student artwork (grades K-12), school offerings, and community involvement.

This event provides students a venue to display their FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) projects. Students design an entrepreneurial experience, research project, exploratory project, internship, or service type activity. Each project is an opportunity for students to demonstrate professionalism, develop entrepreneurial skills, and showcase their hard work. Students independently fund their own projects and track their own income and expenses as part of their SAE project.
Don't miss the baked potato bar (with locally sourced produce) and our student Art Showcase!

Congratulations AFSA Alumni Connor Pedersen!

Alumni News!
Connor Pederson, AFSA Class of 2014 is a Plant Metabolomics Research Manager at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He was recently listed as an author for a scientific paper in this area of study. His research focuses on using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry to study the metabolites of plants. Congratulations Connor!
