Five years ago, an Islamic terrorist carried out a su***de bombing at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Thirteen brave Americans paid the ultimate price for our country.

We will forever honor their memory and keep their families in our prayers.

Principal for a Day at Copper Ridge Elementary! 🇺🇸📚

American Legion Post 109 is proud to recognize our Commander, Roosevelt McKnight, for being selected to participate in Vail School District’s Principal for a Day program!

Roosevelt had the opportunity to step into the shoes of Principal Krista Fields at Copper Ridge Elementary School, spending time with students and staff and gaining a firsthand look at the incredible work happening in our schools.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this that bring our community together and strengthen the connection between our schools, local organizations, and community leaders. Education truly is a community effort!

Thank you to Vail School District and the Vail School District Foundation for inviting Roosevelt to be part of this meaningful day—and to Principal Fields for welcoming him to Copper Ridge! 💜🇺🇸

American Legion Post 109 is proud to support the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) with funds toward the upcoming 250th Patriotic Mural! 🇺🇸🎨

This project is a beautiful way to honor our nation’s history, celebrate the sacrifices of those who came before us, and bring our community together in patriotism.

We are grateful for organizations like the DAR who work tirelessly to preserve our history—and proud to do our part in supporting this meaningful project. ❤️🤍💙
