🚴‍♂️ Bicycle Safety Awareness at Valdese Elementary School 🚓

The Valdese Police Department was honored to participate in a Bicycle Safety Awareness event at Valdese Elementary School!

Our officers enjoyed spending time with students, sharing important bicycle safety tips, discussing the importance of wearing helmets, following traffic rules, and staying alert while riding. Teaching our youth how to stay safe while having fun is an important part of building a stronger and safer community.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Valdese Elementary School for inviting our officers to be part of this special event and for their continued commitment to student safety and education.

We appreciate every opportunity to connect with our community and help make a positive impact—one ride at a time! 🚴‍♂️💙👮‍♂️

The burn ban for the Town of Valdese, originally put into effect on March 28, 2026, remains in place until further notice.

All outdoor burning is still prohibited at this time. This includes burning of yard debris, leaves, and any open fires. These restrictions remain necessary to reduce the risk of wildfires and protect our community.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and will provide updates as soon as conditions allow the ban to be lifted.
