Instructors
Captain Chris Karg
Chris has been in the fire service since 2005 where he began volunteering with King County Fire District 20 (Skyway). In 2007 he was hired full time by the City of Edmonds fire department where he found a love for Truck work. In 2010 with a merger, he got his first assignment to a Ladder company. He began honing his Truck skills with a seasoned crew and taking every outside class available. Promoting to Captain in 2014 he was again assigned to 1 of only 2 ladder trucks in South Snohomish Fire and Rescue’s rapidly growing 15-station department. In 2018 he developed Search and Forcible Entry curriculum for the newly formed regional fire academy where he is still a lead instructor for all Truck disciplines and live fire. Captain Karg is currently assigned to L10, is an acting Battalion Chief, Ladder ops. Committee chair and is pursuing a degree in Emergency Management.

EO Camillus Williams Bio
Camillus Williams has been in the Fire Service in the Puget Sound since 2007. He has been an instructor in local academies since 2009 and a Truck and Engine Cadre instructor at the Snohomish County Fire Training Academy since 2019. His passion is teaching the skills companies need to make the difference on the fire ground. He’s in the North Battalion at South Snohomish County Fire and works as an Acting Captain and the Driver on E23.

Firefighter Colton Segle
Colton was hired by South County Fire in 2021, just after completing his 5 year active duty contract with the US Navy. After completing his probationary period, Colton started working as an instructor for Everett Community College Fire Academy and later joined the instructor cadre of the Snohomish County Fire Training Academy. Colton currently works on Engine 76 in Mill Creek as a Firefighter, and is actively training to be a Driver/Operator.
