🏥🤝Health and Human Services Day gave the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026 an inside look at the organizations working every day to meet critical needs in our community.

Throughout the day, class members visited healthcare entities and nonprofit organizations dedicated to keeping our community healthy, housed, cared for, and connected to essential resources. The experience offered a deeper understanding of the partnerships and services that support individuals and families across Lowndes County.

May Program Day: Quality of Life!

The Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026 recently spent the day exploring the many places, experiences, and opportunities that help make Valdosta-Lowndes County such a great place to live, work, and play during their annual Quality of Life Day!

From local attractions and entertainment venues to arts, recreation, history, and community spaces, class members experienced firsthand the variety of opportunities that contribute to the culture and vibrancy of our community. The day included visits and presentations from organizations and businesses across the area, highlighting everything from family fun and tourism to sports, the arts, and local history.

Thank you to all of our hosts, speakers, and community partners for helping showcase the many things that make Valdosta-Lowndes County a wonderful place to call home!

From reminiscing on old memories to making new connections, the Leadership Lowndes on the Lawn alumni event was a success!

We loved seeing alumni from nearly every Leadership Lowndes class gathered together at the beautiful Valdosta State University Alumni House for an evening of fellowship, networking, and plenty of laughs.

And while we heard lots of “BEST CLASS EVER!” echoing across the lawn all evening long… we’ll let that debate continue a little longer. 😉

Leadership Lowndes Youth Update!

As part of our commitment to keeping the program fresh, relevant, and impactful, we’re making a few updates to the structure and timeline. Applications will now open at the beginning of the school year, with programming kicking off shortly after.

These changes are designed to better fit students’ schedules and create an even more engaging and accessible experience.

We can’t wait to kick things off next school year and see the next group of student leaders step up!
