Last week, the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026 got an inside look at community action during Local Government Day!

From conversations with elected officials and department leaders to behind-the-scenes tours of Public Works, the Traffic Control Center and 911 Center, the class learned more about the people, departments and services that keep our community moving each day.

🏥🤝Health and Human Services Day gave the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2026 an inside look at the organizations working every day to meet critical needs in our community.

Throughout the day, class members visited healthcare entities and nonprofit organizations dedicated to keeping our community healthy, housed, cared for, and connected to essential resources. The experience offered a deeper understanding of the partnerships and services that support individuals and families across Lowndes County.

Thank you to our hosts and speakers for sharing your mission and making a difference every day!
