🦖📚⛏️ Wildcats, it’s time to beat the Summer Slide and Unearth your story! ⛏️📚
This summer, Valdosta City Schools students have the opportunity to participate in TWO exciting reading challenges designed to keep your mind growing and your imagination soaring!
🌟 Take on the VCS Summer Reading Challenge through BookTaco AND join the South Georgia Regional Library ’s, “Unearth a Story” Summer Reading Program on Beanstack!

🏆📚 BRAGGING RIGHTS STILL BELONG TO WG Nunn! 📚🏆

For eight out of the nine months we were in school, W.G. Nunn proudly held on to the Book Taco Bragging Rights Trophy! 🌮🔥

Looks like our students understood the assignment: READ, READ, and READ SOME MORE! 😎

To our fellow media specialists across the district… thank you for keeping the competition interesting this year, 😉 but the trophy seemed pretty comfortable staying at W.G. Nunn.

We’re already gearing up to defend our title AGAIN next year! 💪📖

👑This past Saturday, twelve of W.G. Nunn's most distinguished 3rd-5th grade girls graced the stage for the first ever Little Miss W.G. Nunn Pageant. 👑

Prior to the pageant, these girls served their community and school, learned from amazing women who gave them advice for on and off the stage, and bonded through rehearsals and social outings.

On the day of the pageant, the girls demonstrated why they are "Poised for Purpose". They performed, they spoke eloquently, and they graced the stage with such elegance that the judges and audience remained in awe of them the entire time.

Participating in the inaugural Little Miss W.G. Nunn Pageant were the following:
Contestant #1 Khyli Hatcher- Miss Compassion in Action
Contestant #2 A’Sha Williams-Miss Congeniality, 2nd Runner Up
Contestant #3 Armani Jones
Contestant #5 Nova Robinson
Contestant #7 Gabriella Brown
Contestant #8 Trinity Gordon

Hall (retired), Ms. Carter, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Harrell, Mrs. L. Williams, Ms. Bryant, Ms. Blake, Ms. Bell, Ms. Sanford, Mrs. Roberts, and Mrs. Smith.
