Congratulations to our VSU football team on their win last night!

This year, UPD is excited to announce that we have launched a drone program. Drones allow us to increase security by getting an aerial view of events, helping us to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. As new technology emerges, UPD is committed to continuing to use these advances to provide new services to our community to enhance safety.

We are excited to help welcome back new and returning students in the coming days! UPD officers will be out on campus helping guide students and parents to where they need to be.

COUNTDOWN TO MOVE-IN 2026: Valdosta State University is excited to welcome more than 2,200 students to their on-campus home away from home during Move-In Days. First-year and transfer students are scheduled to arrive on campus Aug. 11-12, followed by returning students Aug. 14-16. Last week, UPD officers attended Active Shooter Training led by the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office. First responders from different agencies attended to facilitate more cohesive responses to active attack events. Thanks to everyone in attendance for working with us to keep our communities safe!
