🔥 EXTREME FIRE DANGER — BURN BAN IN EFFECT 🔥

Fire danger in our area is currently at the EXTREME level. With vegetation extremely dry and the possibility of dry lightning this weekend, conditions are especially dangerous for wildfires.

⚡ Dry lightning is a serious concern. Thunderstorms can produce lightning with little or no accompanying rainfall, allowing strikes to ignite dry grass and vegetation. Fires caused by lightning may also smolder unnoticed before rapidly spreading when winds increase.

🚫 A BURN BAN remains in effect. Please do not burn debris, use open flames, or conduct any activity prohibited under the current burn restrictions.

This weekend, everyone can help reduce the risk:

Follow all burn-ban restrictions.
Avoid activities that could create sparks near dry vegetation.
Properly dispose of smoking materials.
Never park or drive vehicles over tall, dry grass.
Report smoke or fire immediately.

One spark or lightning strike is all it takes. Please stay alert, follow the burn ban, and help protect our community.

🔥 EXTREME means conditions are critical. Please take the fire danger seriously.

❤️🚒Thank You! 🚒❤️

Because of your incredible generosity, the immediate donation needs for the surrounding communities have been met. We can't thank you enough for stepping up to support the firefighters, first responders, and support crews battling these devastating wildfires.

If you've already purchased items to donate, you can still drop them off at the Vale Fire Department, and we'll make sure they're put to good use. At this time, however, the surrounding communities are no longer requesting additional donations.

This response is a true reflection of what makes our community so special. You answered the call with compassion, kindness, and generosity, and together we made a real difference for those on the front lines.

From all of us, thank you for standing with our firefighters and our neighboring communities. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️

❤️🚒 Neighbors helping neighbors. That's what it's all about.

When Jordan Valley needed help, firefighters from across our region didn't hesitate—they answered the call.

Last night, crews from Vale Fire & Ambulance, Parma Rural Fire, Nyssa Fire, Wilder Fire, New Plymouth Fire, and Bruneau Fire deployed to the Big Grass Fire, joining firefighters already working to protect homes, rangeland, livestock, and our communities.

If you'd like to support these firefighters while they're on the line, donations are greatly appreciated.

The crews can use:
💧 Bottled water
⚡ Electrolyte drinks
🥜 High-protein snacks
🥩 Canned or packaged meats

Donations can be dropped off at Parma Fire Station (29200 Hwy 95, Parma, ID 83660) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Please continue to keep every firefighter, EMT, and emergency responder in your thoughts. Thank you for standing with the men and women working tirelessly to protect our communities.

To everyone on the fire line: Keep up the great work, watch out for each other, and come home safe. We're proud of every one of you. ❤️🔥🚒
