The Valentine Senior Center Family Caregiver Support Group will meet on Wednesday, April 19th at 1:00pm. All current or former caregivers or interested family members are welcome to join us.

The Valentine Senior Center will celebrate caregivers in our community with a complimentary soup and pie supper on Wednesday, February 15th serving from 5:00-6:00 at the senior center. We welcome our caregivers and their families to this event. Tim Wilkinson from the First Baptist Church will give a brief message of encouragement for our caregivers.

The Valentine Senior Center will host a no-cost soup and pie supper for CAREGIVERS and their families on Wednesday, January 18th, serving from 5:00-6:00pm. Please let us know by noon on the 18th if you plan to attend. There will be a brief uplifting message to support you in your caregiving journey.

Family Caregiver Support Group will meet at the senior center on Wednesday, August 17th. All caregivers, previous caregivers or those that are considering caregiving are welcome to attend. Charlee Doehr from AseraCare Hospice will be here to lead the discussion on any topic you wish. She has a unique way of looking at situations from a new perspective! Please join us!

The Valentine Senior Center has picked up flowers from Mt. Hope Cemetery for the year. Every effort was made to inform volunteers of the rules. If you feel your flowers were taken in error, you are welcome to come to the center to look for them during normal business hours.
Many hateful things have been said against the senior center about this problem. Please be sure that you are accusing the right people before spreading your hate. I am more than willing to accept the responsibility if the error was made by me or my volunteers, but have already been made aware of two instances that were not done by my group.

Bingo at the senior center! Bingo will be held on Monday evenings at 7:00pm if there are people willing to volunteer to do the calling and the bookwork. At this time, we will have bingo on Monday, September 27th at 7:00pm. Thank you Barb and Margaret for helping on the 20th. Thank you, Judy and Pat for volunteering on the 27th!

IT'S OFFICIAL!!! The Valentine Senior Center will open for congregate (eat-in) meals on Thursday, July 15th! We encourage you to once again attend the senior center for your noon meal. We serve from 11:45 to 12:30 for your convenience. Remember to place your reservation by 9:00am the day of the meal or up to one week in advance. This opening will be on a trial basis to establish 1. How many will attend the lunch in person, 2. To determine if we have enough volunteers to help with the extra steps needed to reopen.
