May 13th, 2020 - The Cal Maritime Police Department had the honor of standing with our fellow law enforcement agencies throughout Solano County to honor those Peace Officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Officer Charles Ford and Chief Donny Gordon were in attendance. Officer Ford was present as one of the Officers standing watch over the memorial.

Unfortunately, due to ongoing health concerns, the full memorial was not held this year. Solano County intends to release a video production at a later date to allow everyone a chance to experience this year’s memorial. When that production is released we will post that link here for you.

Happy Thanksgiving Cal Maritime!

The Cal Maritime Police Department wishes you a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are certainly grateful for the community we serve here and hope you enjoy some well deserved time off. During this time of year our department receives messages of thanks for being on campus during this holiday. Today however, we would like to express our gratitude to our community for all the amazing work you do to make Cal Maritime an incredible California State University!

In particular, we would like to extend a gratitude shoutout to those Cadets remaining on campus to help keep our campus secure and operational. We're talking about you TSGB watch standers and RHOs! Thank you!

A few specific shoutouts go to the TSGB overnight crew that stood watch through the cold - Azur Ingrassia, Jesse Zablotsky, and Jon Placencia (Pictured on The Quarterdeck).

This campus would be dramatically different without the hard work of our Cadets. Please join CMPD in wishing them a "Happy Thanksgiving!"

To our Campus Community,

Welcome back! Thank you for your patience during this time of readjustment back to campus life.

To our Cadets, since reopening Cal Maritime we have observed your ability to be resilient and adaptive to this unique incident. We are proud of your dedication to your studies and life here as well as the support you have offered each other. We would also like to thank you for remaining courteous to our staff and flexible with the disruptions and safety detours we have put in place.

As a reminder:

Disruptions to parking and traffic patterns will continue for the remainder of the week.

Maritime Academy Drive is closed to pedestrian and automotive traffic from Lot A to the waterfront.

Shuttle service will operate between the PE Aquatic Center and Lot A from 0630 until 2200 daily.

Parking Lots A, B, E, and F are closed. Please stay out of all burn zones.

Parking Lots G (McAllister), I, J, L, M, O, and P (Maritime North) are available for parking with any Cal Maritime permit 24/7 for the remainder of the week.

Parking in Lot D is accessible through the gate at the west side of Lot A, but is limited to faculty and staff from 0800-1700. There is NO parking in Lot D from 0200-0600.

Lot C is reserved for authorized personnel only.

Cal Maritime Update: The Cal Maritime Campus remains closed at this time. Please do not come to campus unless you have specifically arranged for and received approval ahead of time or you will be turned away. All campus buildings, including residence halls, are closed regardless of your ability to individually access these structures. Please continue to be patient as safety inspections of all buildings and critical infrastructure must take place before an “all clear” is given. Updates will continue to be pushed out through email, text, and phone.

The Cal Maritime Police Department and this young fan of the campus wish you a warm welcome to the start of the new school year! We look forward to watching your incredible work ethic turn into great achievements as you clearly demonstrate that while anybody can be a student, not everybody can be a Cadet!

Today, July 30th, 2019 Lt. Hart officially retired from the Cal Maritime Police Department.

Lt. Hart, your contributions to this department will never be forgotten. We wish you a very happy retirement! It already feels a little more empty in the PD without your uplifting energy. Be sure to visit frequently and soon!
