Tuletown Cat House We are a feral cat rescue and foster in Vallejo, CA that works with the non-profit rescue, Community Cat Advocates, to place kitties in approved homes.

Our goal is to get homeless kitties socialized so they can be adopted and live in loving homes.

This is Arrow. He was a TNR (trap, neuter, return) from up the block, but was so sick he almost died. Now he's a healthy 7 month old kitten who has decided he's Steve McQueen from the Great Escape.

He disappeared sometime on Sunday - we thought he had escaped outside and figured he'd come back when he was hungry. Last night, we heard him crying and couldn't figure out where he was - was he outside, no, was he in one of the cabinets, no, inside the sofa bed, no - oh my God, he was in the ceiling and couldn't get out. There's a small crawl space between the roof and ceiling and he found a way to get in, but not out!

So, Shannon cut a hole in the ceiling and we waited. No kitten. We put some food up in the ceiling and hoped for the best. Next morning, there's a kitten sitting on the roll up door waiting for more food. When I went to get him, he climbed back in the ceiling - not coming out of my new hideaway! Food won out and I was able to ban him! And we removed the access to the roll up door and now he's waiting to be adopted by someone who likes a spunky kitty!
