Happy International Women’s Day! 💜

Today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and brilliance of women everywhere.

A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture, and transform. She is a force of nature—gentle like the rain, fierce like the storm, and steady like the Earth.

At VEST we honor the courage of women who rise, heal, lead, and uplift others every single day. Your voices matter. Your stories matter. Your power matters.

Happy Women’s Day! ✨

As we close out Black History Month, we don’t close the mission. ✊🏾🖤

Black history is not just something we celebrate in February, it’s something we live, protect, and build every single day.

In June 2025, VEST made a strategic decision to move to Vallejo in response to the rise in domestic violence cases impacting our community. That move wasn’t just about location, it was about commitment. It was about showing up where the need is greatest.

Since the moment we arrived in Vallejo, we have been welcomed with open arms. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our community leaders , our new location partners, and every organization that has supported our mission. Your collaboration, trust, and shared commitment to safety and healing have meant everything.

We continue to conduct community needs assessments: listening intentionally, identifying gaps, and eliminating barriers to ensure vulnerable populations have true access to advocacy, resources, and protection. Access is power. Safety is power. Community is power.

Black history teaches us resilience. It teaches us collaboration. It teaches us that when we come together, we create change that lasts beyond a moment.

So as this month ends, let’s keep the momentum.
Let’s keep building.
Let’s keep collaborating.
Let’s keep protecting our families.
Let’s keep choosing community.

Because Black history is happening right now, through service, through leadership, and through love in action. 🖤

Such an incredible day at the Shared Safety Expungement Resource Fair here in Vallejo!

Over 200 community members showed up and truly tapped into the life-changing resources available right here in our city. From expungement support to safety resources, today was about access, opportunity, and second chances.

It was powerful to see organizations standing side by side, collaborating and united by one common goal, showing up for our community. This is what shared safety looks like. This is what restoration looks like. This is what community strong looks like.

We don’t just talk about change! W show up for it!

Thank you to every community leader, volunteer, and organization that poured into Vallejo today. When we come together, we create pathways forward👏🏽
