I really appreciate everyone who took the time to support me through this election process in any capacity. It means a great deal to me. Unfortunately we couldn’t make it work, but it was always going to be an uphill battle with so many great candidates.

Thank you to everyone who supported the cause, and good luck to the new board members!

For those of you who have my signs - I will stop by no later than Saturday to pick them up out of your yard.

Tomorrow is the final day to vote for the primaries! Please go vote and make sure your voice is heard!

We are now in the second week of early voting and the date of the primary election is next Tuesday - May 12th!

I wanted to take a moment to share information about my platform. This is a long one - but please read, like, share, and feel free to comment your thoughts or questions!

- Our schools need more funding - that problem lies at the state level and I will be a proponent for lobbying our representatives every chance we get for improved and more immediate funding.

- Until significant funding changes happen at the state level, we need to get creative and generate independent funds on our own. I have several ideas I’d love to explore. There is red tape with all of these of course, and they may not be perfect, but I bring these ideas to the table, which I think is crucial.

- I am PRO union for our teachers and will support them every step of the way - as much as one board member can.

- Public schools need to be more attractive. We are bleeding students and that is only making our funding situation worse. We need to improve the quality of education, retain and support our teachers and staff, and make it so parents have no doubt in their minds that public school is the right choice for their children.

- I hope to be a voice for my son Myles and children like him. A very vulnerable population who need all the help they can get in this state.

It is crucial that our candidates have fresh ideas they can bring to the table. We all know the capability of an individual board member is extremely limited, but as candidates, we need to be well-prepared and bring with us fresh ideas.

I’ve heard a lot of hand-wringing during this election season - people saying they don’t know what they can do or what can be done. I’ve had many talks with past and current board members, and I’ve been in the office of our CSBO/Treasurer talking about the logistics of what is possible and challenges we will have to face. I’ll know the full scope if elected once training is completed, but I’ve been working ahead of time to ensure my ideas could potentially be fruitful.

I am motivated, prepared, and ready to make change to benefit our school system. I would be very happy to earn your vote.

I want to stress how important it is that you go vote, not just for the Board of Education, but for the election as a whole. If you want to see change, do your research and ensure you vote for candidates who support public education!

Thank you so much to Education WV-Randolph for hosting a great event yesterday. It was a nice opportunity to share my thoughts with current and former teachers and staff, and the Q&A portion of the event provided some great insight!

We did a roadside trash pick up today!

In total, we collected 141.9lbs of trash.

55.8lbs - Georgetown

54.9lbs - Valley Bend (in the turn by Homestead)

31.2lbs - Dailey Straight

We had 9 total volunteers who worked for about 3.5 hours total. There is A LOT more trash that remains in these areas and others so if you’re looking to do some good, it’s a great way to help our environment.

Thank you to the Democrat Executive Committee for hosting a great meet & greet event yesterday!

It was nice to have the opportunity to introduce myself to voters and have some very meaningful conversations!

Hi everyone! A bit short notice but my friend Don Lambert and I are hoping to organize a bit of community service this weekend with a trash pick up.

We’re planning to do it this Saturday, April 11th, at 1PM and target areas from Beverly to Mill Creek. If you’re interested in participating please contact me directly and we’ll discuss the details!

We can supply bags and gloves, but don’t have “trash-pickers” or high-vis clothing.

Thank you to the Randolph County Republican Executive Committee for hosting a great event last night and inviting candidates from all parties, along with those of us running for non-partisan positions!

It was great to hear all of the candidates speak about their hopes for our community and state, and I was glad to have a few minutes to share my vision for the Board of Education.
