☀️ Councilwoman Laurie Gonzalez had a busy summer representing the Rincon Tribe and uplifting Native voices, creativity, and culture!

As an Executive Board member of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of California, she continued her work supporting Native businesses, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity.

She also took the stage at Comic-Con International for the panel “Reviving Native American Languages, Song, and Sequential Art Through Comics,” joining Native artists and cultural advocates to discuss carrying Indigenous language and storytelling forward for future generations.

Her summer also included Indigi-Con, celebrating Indigenous artists and Native storytelling through art. And there’s more to come — Indigi-Con returns to Harrah’s Resort Southern California in February!

We were honored to join Harrah’s Resort Southern California for the 11th annual All-In 4 Change celebration, hosted by San Diego’s own Mario Lopez!

This year, $250,000 in grants was awarded to 15 nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference throughout Southern California. Since the program began in 2015, All-In 4 Change has provided more than $1.5 million in support to organizations serving our local communities.

Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients! 👏

Councilwoman Laurie Gonzalez joined the City of Escondido and community partners to celebrate the completion of the Escondido Creek Trail improvements with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The revitalized trail features new amenities, public art and design elements that recognize the area’s history and community — including decorative pavers inspired by basket-weaving patterns that honor the Indigenous peoples of the region.

Rincon is proud to see Native culture and history represented in public spaces and to celebrate projects that bring our communities together. 🌿

☀️ A summer to remember!

From outdoor adventures and hands-on science experiments to cultural activities and plenty of opportunities to learn, explore and have fun, the Rincon Education Department and Cultural Resources Department’s Summer Program kept our youth busy all summer long.

We loved seeing our students try new things, explore the world around them and, most importantly, make memories together.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s summer program so special. Until next summer! 🌿☀️

For generations, the Rincon Fiesta has brought our community together in celebration of tradition, culture and connection.

What began as a gathering rooted in community and support for the Tribe has continued through the years as a cherished tradition — a time to reconnect with family and friends, welcome neighboring communities, and celebrate the traditions that have been carried forward from one generation to the next.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and to all those who helped make this year’s celebration possible.

Cruisin’ Grand is back for another Friday! 🚗

We are proud to continue supporting this beloved Escondido tradition as a longtime Title Sponsor. Every Friday night until the end of September, downtown Escondido transforms into a showcase of 1973 and earlier American-made classic cars, customs, vintage vehicles, muscle cars, and hot rods.

07/08/2026

We’re proud to once again support Cruisin’ Grand, a beloved Escondido tradition that brings our community together through classic cars, local businesses, live music, and family-friendly fun.

Community events like this help strengthen local connections and celebrate the people and places that make our region special.

Thank you to everyone who helps make Cruisin' Grand a success—we're honored to be a sponsor again this year!
