Well this is interesting. Did you submit your ballot yet? Before you do, start looking at candidate endorsements.

California just received its last shipment of Middle Eastern oil. Nothing else is coming. We have over one billion barrels of proved reserves right here in this state and the refinery capacity to process far more than we produce.

Instead we import 60 percent of our oil from foreign countries because decades of failed policy made it nearly impossible to drill our own.

This did not happen because of a war. It happened because of choices made in this state over many years. The vulnerability was built here. The solution is here too.

If you want the mailers to stop coming, please mail in your ballot!!! And since some of you have asked…here is our list of recommendations once again…

Valley Center GOP generally align with the same endorsed candidates as Reform CA, but we differ in two key races.

We support John Franklin for District 5 Supervisor because, as mayor, he has not voted to raise taxes in his city, whereas his opponent, Rebecca Jones, has supported tax increases and significantly expanded housing density in San Marcos. Mayor Franklin understands the challenges Valley Center faces, including increasing development pressure and the push by developers to alter our rural character. He is also keenly aware of the community’s emergency evacuation constraints and the very real, ongoing threat posed by high fire danger in the area.

We also endorse Ed Musgrove for CA Senate District 40, a retired Sheriff Captain, proud U.S. Army veteran, and San Marcos City Councilmember whose extensive experience managing large sheriff’s departments and overseeing budgets makes him well-suited to meet the needs of Valley Center, bringing common sense back to California. That starts with supporting our law enforcement, lowering costs for families, and standing up for taxpayers.

Some go-along, get-along career politicians criticized Jim Desmond and me for stepping up to lead on issues like saying no to biological men in girls’ locker rooms and supporting border security because its easier for them to stay silent.

Leaders like Jim and me aren’t having any of it. We’re fighting for you!
