Thanks for stopping by, Michael! 🕺🚒

After spending some time around Station 19, Michael is officially off duty — and apparently moonwalking his way out. 😂

We had fun having him around, but all good things must come to an end.

Stay safe, take care of each other, and have a great week, Valley Park! ❤️🚒

And Michael… Beat It. 😂

08/26/2026

Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie? 🎶

Michael’s asking the important questions at Station 19. 😂🚒

But seriously — if someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 911, get an AED if available, and start CPR. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest at 100–120 compressions per minute. ❤️

Michael may be questionable staff, but we’ll give him this one. 🕺

We told you Michael’s been hanging around Station 19 lately… 🕺🚒

Know a fan? Tag them 🚒❤️

And a big thanks to Corey Melton for bringing Michael to Station 19! 🕺 Find him on Instagram -

🚒 MEET YOUR FIREFIGHTER — ALEXIS BATES! 🚒

Say hello to Firefighter Alexis Bates! 👋

Alexis loves serving her community, lending a helping hand, and working alongside people she considers family. ❤️

And if you need Disney World advice… she’s got 12 trips worth of experience. 😂🏰✨

We are lucky to have Firefighter Bates!

🍎 BACK TO SCHOOL, VALLEY PARK! 🚌

The backpacks are packed, the pencils are sharpened, and Monday morning our streets will look a little different again!

As students head back to school, we’re asking everyone to help us start the year safely:

🚌 Slow down and watch for school buses.
🛑 Never pass a school bus with its stop arm extended.
🚸 Keep an eye out for children at crosswalks, bus stops, and neighborhood streets.
🚗 Give yourself a few extra minutes Monday morning — there will be more traffic and lots of excited kids on the move!

And to our students — this part is for you. ❤️

Whether you’re walking into school for the very first time, starting a brand-new grade, or heading back to familiar halls: you’ve got this.

Be curious. Be brave. Be kind. Help someone who needs a friend. And remember that you don’t have to have everything figured out on the first day.

This is going to be a GREAT year, and your Valley Park firefighters are cheering you on! We believe in you! 🚒❤️

To our teachers, staff, bus drivers and families helping make it all happen — we hope you have a wonderful and safe school year, too.

We’ll see you around the neighborhood! 👋🚒

Sometimes, the quickest way to a patient is to make a new door. 🚒

Valley Park firefighters spent training time working through vehicle extrication scenarios — practicing the tools, techniques, and teamwork used to safely gain access to patients after serious crashes.

From removing doors and glass to lifting the roof and creating space inside the vehicle, every step has one goal: reach the patient safely and efficiently.

Training gives our crews the opportunity to slow it down, work through different approaches, and stay sharp for the moments when there’s no time to practice.

We train for the call before the call comes.

Stay Safe Valley Park!

🎶 Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie?

Because apparently Michael has completed the truck check and would like to know. 😂🚒

Michael seems to be everywhere lately… and apparently the King of Pop has picked up a side job at Valley Park Fire Protection District.

Cab handles: checked. ✅
Grab bars: checked. ✅
Pump panel: checked. ✅
SCBA: apparently fits. ✅
Driver ready? ⚠️ Absolutely not.
Cord reel: …he may have gotten a little carried away. 😬

He says the apparatus is ready. 😊

We told him to Beat It before the Chief finds out he’s not on the roster. 🕺🚒

🚒❤️ Welcome to the Valley Park Fire Protection District Family! ❤️🚒

The Valley Park Fire Protection District is proud to welcome our newest members to the team: Brandon, Joe, Andrew, Phil, Cheyenne, Tyler, Shane, and Jerrod (not pictured).

This group includes four Paramedics and two Firefighter/Paramedics, each bringing their own experience, dedication, and passion for serving others.

This pinning wasn’t just about receiving a badge—it was about joining a family.

One of the most meaningful traditions is having loved ones pin each new member’s badge, reminding us that every firefighter and paramedic is supported by family members who make sacrifices right alongside them. We are grateful for the spouses, parents, children, and loved ones who stand behind our members every day.

A special thank you to Fire Chief Polk for officially welcoming our newest employees into the Valley Park Fire Protection District family and marking the beginning of this exciting chapter in their careers.

Congratulations to each of our newest members—we’re excited to have you on the team and look forward to serving the Valley Park community together.

Please help us give them a warm VPFD welcome in the comments! 👏🚒❤️

💙🚒 Thank You, Schnucks & Our Amazing Community! 🚒💙

A huge thank you to Schnucks Markets, the Twin Oaks store, and our incredible residents for supporting the Heroes Hydration Drive!

Today, Valley Park Fire Protection District firefighters on B crew picked up several cases of water, Gatorade, and Powerade that will help keep first responders hydrated while serving our community during these hot summer days.

Your generosity and support mean more than you know. Together, we’re making a difference—one bottle at a time.

Thank you for helping take care of those who are always ready to take care of you! ❤️💧
