Valley Park Fire Protection District

Valley Park Fire Protection District Welcome to the Valley Park Fire Protection District's Page, stop by to learn more about us and how we can serve and protect you to the best of our ability.

The Valley Park Fire Protection District was formed by a vote of the people in April of 1967. At that time the fire district consisted of one fire station, a handful of paid staff, and the rest volunteer firefighters. Today the fire district consist of two fire stations, twenty five paid firefighters, and 10 volunteers which we now refer to as our reserves. Station one is located at 840 St. Louis

Ave. and station two is located at 55 Crescent Ave. which serves as our administrative office also. The district is approximately 10 square miles, has a population of approximately 16,000 citizens and includes the City of Valley Park, Village of Twin Oaks, portions of The City of Manchester, portions of Ballwin and portions of unincorporated St. Louis County. The VPFPD provides fire and EMS service in a wide variety of ways for this area. We cover several miles of Interstate 44, we have the Meramec River running through a good part of our district, two major railroads go through our district, several types of industry and chemical plants, plus all our citizens and their property. All of our staff has medical training up to at least an EMT certification, and most are Paramedics. Many of our firefighters are also hazmat technicians, others are qualified in specialized rope rescue and water rescue, and we have several that are fire and EMS instructors who teach other paramedics and firefighters coming into the business. This year the VPFPD is on track to run almost 1,800 calls.

Today, we celebrate all fathers.

To the dads in our community—thank you for the love, guidance, patience, and example you provide every day.

And to the fathers in the fire service—thank you for answering the call, serving others, and still finding ways to be present for the people who matter most at home.

Behind every firefighter is a family making sacrifices too.

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Valley Park Fire Protection District. ❤️🚒
