Today we mourn for the Denton County Sheriff's Office with the passing of their Communications Manager. Often times people never see the ones behind the radio directing first responders where they need to go and providing vital communication. We stand beside them and the greater Denton County community in their time of mourning.

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Communications Manager Robin Thomas.

Throughout her courageous and hard-fought battle with leukemia, Robin displayed remarkable strength, grace, resilience, and a profound love for life, inspiring all who knew her. We mourn her loss deeply and hold her memory close.

Our deepest sympathies are with her family, loved ones, and everyone whose life was enriched by knowing her. We ask that you keep them in your thoughts during this difficult time.

May we remember Robin not only for what she accomplished, but for the lives she touched and the lasting difference she made.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety Vehicle Theft Data for May 2026, the following vehicles were among the most stolen in the state of Texas.

While any vehicle can become a target, thefts are often crimes of opportunity. Protect your vehicle by:

*Locking your doors and rolling up your windows.
*Never leaving keys or key fobs inside your vehicle.
*Removing valuables from plain sight.
*Parking in well-lit areas whenever possible.
* Considering anti-theft devices or GPS tracking systems.

Taking a few simple precautions can help keep your vehicle from becoming the next target.
