It’s Showtime! Valley Drama Students Present Seasonal Favorite

Based on the blockbuster motion picture turned Broadway musical, Valley School Drama Students are thrilled to present Beetlejuice JR. on November 5th and 6th at 2:00 and 6:00 in the Valley School Multi-Purpose Room.

A frightfully funny musical, Beetlejuice JR. is sure to leave audience members laughing and singing those catchy tunes for hours after they leave the performance. With music and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by the Tony Award–nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best New Musical.

Beetlejuice JR. tells the story of a strange and unusual teenager named Lydia Deetz (played by Madisyn), who is grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with death. Luckily for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice (played by Wyatt), a delightful ‘ghost-with-the-most’ with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing spirit shows his true stripes, unleashing wacky pandemonium.

When Sky (played by Katie), a local Girl Scout selling cookies comes to the house, Beetlejuice and his clones scare her away. Meanwhile, Lydia tricks Beetlejuice so that she can enter the Netherworld in hopes of finding her mother. Instead, she encounters Miss Argentina (played by Zylee), a deceased former beauty queen who is the greeter for the recently dead in the Netherworld, and Juno (played by Makayla), who is the official afterlife caseworker and a secret relative of Beetlejuice.

Admission to the show is $5.00 at the door. Please arrive early and plan to silence your phones. Beetlejuice Jr. is presented through special arrangement with, and all materials are provided by Music Theatre International, 423 West 55th Street, New York, NY 10019; mtishows.com.

Luckily for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple Adam and Barbara (played by Robbi and Emily) and Beetlejuice (played by Wyatt), a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. Meantime Lydia tricks Beetlejuice so that she can enter into the Nether(world) in hopes to find her mother, but Dalia(played by Stephya )and her Guru Otho(played by Daisy ), join forces with Lydia’s father Charles(played by Zealand) and they try to vanquish Beetle Juice by trapping him in “The Soul Box.”, but Beetlejuice is too smart for them and plots a plan to marry a living person(Lydia Charles’s daughter) in order to be alive again….don’t worry it’s a “Green Card Thing Only”.
