Spokane County Fire District 8 SCFD8 responded to over 4,200 incidents in 2021 from four strategically located stations. Each station is staffed twenty-four hours a day.

Spokane County Fire District 8 provides a full range of services including fire suppression, emergency medical services, ALS, fire prevention and investigation, and associated support and maintenance services to over 24,000 citizens in a 110 square mile area in south Spokane County.

In preparation for wildfire season, there will be a Wildfire & Forestry Safety Fair on May 16, 2026 in Deer Park, WA. We encourage community members across Spokane County to stop by for educational sessions on Home Hardening & Defensible Space, Forest Health & Fire Behavior Effects, and Homeowner’s Insurance & Wildfire: Understanding Your Coverage.

Don’t forget to bring the kids for Face Painting, Kettle Corn, Live Demonstrations, Give-A-Ways, and More.

—Option of 4-10 schedule
