Calling all the coloring kiddos - celebrate America 250 with this coloring contest!!!

America 250 Coloring Contest!

As part of the America 250 celebration, Kindergarten through 2nd Grade students across Monroe County are invited to participate in a fun coloring contest.

Print the coloring sheet, color with imagination and creativity, and submit through your school, or turn in to City Hall, by March 23rd.

We can’t wait to see all the creative artwork! 🇺🇸

Don’t miss our final Lenten Fish Fry!

We are so grateful for everyone who joined us at our Ash Wednesday Fish Fry and WOW, the compliments on the cod cut-ups were so appreciated!! We have an awesome group of guys who make our fish so tasty.

Now it’s time for our second and final fish fry of the season and you don’t want to miss it.

Friday, February 27th from 4:00 - 7:30.

Fresh, hot and absolutely delicious fish served with Janet’s homemade tartar sauce.

Tasty sides and FREE desserts.

If you missed the first one, this is your chance. And if you came before, you already know how good it is!!

A Facebook friend sent us this message this morning. We wanted to pass it along just incase anyone is missing their dog. “This morning at about 7am I saw this dog walking down Levee road headed towards Fountain bar. I was wondering if you all could post this to help find the owners? It’s just so cold out and he wouldn’t come towards me. It looked like he had a dirty red collar on, but I don’t think there were tags on it.” Hopefully this dog finds its owners or was just out on a morning stroll.

With the anticipated snowfall this weekend we request residents to do the following to allow the snowplows more working room for a faster snow removal.

❄️ Remove vehicles from streets and cul-de-sacs.
❄️ Remove basketball hoops and other obstacles from road rights-of-way.

It’s our priority to keep the streets plowed as much as possible and safe for those needing to travel in inclement weather.
