Drug Free Partnership, a 501c3 non-profit Program
In 2007, Drug Free Partnership was founded based on the premise that there is a lack of parental education and awareness about substance abuse and the affects on today's youth. Parents need a source of information that is current to help them talk to their children about use and abuse of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.
In 2010 The Porter County Epidemiological profile was released. This report was developed to create a better understanding of the substance abuse issues facing our youth and to make data-driven decisions to reduce the negative consequences that drugs and alcohol have on our community. In Response to this report, the Drug Free Partnership was selected as a facilitator in bridging the communication gaps between prevention organizations and the public.
