SV Awareness Month Comes to a Close

As we wrap up Supervised Visitation Awareness Month, we are reminded how important supervised visitation services are to our community.

Supervised visitation helps children stay connected to important people in their lives while prioritizing safety and emotional well-being.

Thank you for helping us raise awareness this month and for supporting families in our community.

The support does not stop when May ends. Together, we can continue creating safe spaces for children and families.

Jones Elementary wrapped up their TAT the Staff fundraiser with a fun TAT Walk filled with lots of laughs! What a cool fundraiser idea!

Jones Student Council Brightens Family House 🏠✨

Thank you to Ethel R. Jones Elementary School Student Council for selecting Family House as their service project this year. In addition to raising funds for Family House, the 4th and 5th grade students spent time volunteering on site last week.

They helped refresh our outdoor space by pulling weeds, laying mulch, and cleaning play equipment. The students made a meaningful difference in creating a welcoming environment for the children and families we serve.

These young leaders should be so proud of the impact they made. It is truly heartwarming to see children supporting other children and learning the importance of community service at a young age.

A Full-Circle Moment

Family House Executive Director, Kamryn Shtompil, recently visited her old stomping grounds, Jones Elementary School, to share more about the mission of Family House with the student body who are fundraising to support children and families in our community.

Making the visit even more special, the school’s principal, Mrs. Whitten, is also Kamryn’s mom. Bringing together two generations passionate about supporting children and strengthening families.

We are so grateful for the enthusiasm these students are showing toward their school-wide fundraising. Their efforts are helping create safe, child-centered spaces where families can stay connected even during difficult times.

Today, we welcomed Mrs. Kamryn Shtompil, Executive Director of Family House, into our classrooms to share more about the incredible work Family House does to support children and families throughout the Porter County area. ❤️

Our students enjoyed learning about the services and resources Family House provides and how they make a positive impact in our community each and every day.

We are proud that Family House is one of the recipients of our “Tat the Staff” fundraiser and grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful organization! 🎉
