We really enjoyed participating in the VNA Military Stand Down last week! We were pleased to help several veterans record their DD214's and sign them up for our Honor Rewards discount card program.

What a great event the VNA Hospice NWI provides for our local veterans! Thank you for allowing us to take part again!

All set for the 2024 VNA Military Stand Down at the Porter County Expo Center. Veterans please come visit us from 3pm - 6pm! You will be able to sign up for our Honor Rewards program card AND record your DD214s or other Military discharge papers with us today!

The Porter County Recorder’s Office is excited to announce that we will again be participating in this great event on June 12th at the Porter County Expo Center! We will be there to sign up veterans for our Honor Rewards program along with recording their DD214s!

The Honor Rewards program is a community service made available through our recorder’s office to thank and acknowledge our nation’s veterans for their sacrifices to our country.

This program allows veterans in our community to sign-up to receive an Honor Rewards Card and use this ID Card to receive discounts and benefits at local participating retailers, restaurants and other businesses.

Today our office participated alongside other County Recorder Office's in the northern part of the state (Fulton County, Jasper County, Lake County, LaPorte County, Marshall County, St. Joseph County and Starke County) to bring awareness to a FREE service offered by our office called Property Fraud Alert. Owning a home is typically the largest investment a person has in their life and our intent is to help protect that investment.
The threat of mortgage fraud and identity theft crimes continue to rise, and all too often victims of these types of fraudulent activities are unaware their homes or identity have been stolen. While Property Fraud Alert does not prevent fraud from happening; it provides an early warning system for property owners to take appropriate actions should they determine possible fraudulent activity has taken place.
Property Fraud Alert is an online subscription service offered to the public that allows them to have their name monitored within the Recorder's office in order to track possible fraudulent recordings that affects their property.
