Valparaiso University Beacons!!!! Parking Alert

Valpo Men's Basketball will host the University of Evansville this evening,
Friday, February 6th at the ARC at 7:00 p.m. Please note the following parking lot closures related to this event:

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6TH

The following lots will close today, Friday, February 6th at 1:00 p.m.:
Lot 45 (Athletics-Recreation Center)
North Row of Lot 43
West Section of Lot 43
All vehicles must be removed from these lots prior to the established lot closure time. Vehicles left remaining in the lots past this time will be towed and relocated or impounded at the owner's expense.
Please note there will be a police officer controlling the entrance to Lot 43 in advance of the game to regulate access to the lot. The officer will only permit Gold Lot pass holders, spectators who need ADA parking access, and students with a Resident (blue) permit into the lot.
Additional Faculty/Staff and Commuter parking can be found in Lot 15 or Lot 39.
Alternate parking for Residents (blue permit) is available in Lot 34, Lot 35, Lot 39, or the Kade-Duesenberg German House Lot.
The lots will reopen following the conclusion of the game.

Due to the overnight snowfall, critical road conditions, continued blowing snow, and another round of snow moving through during the day, all campus operations and classes/labs are suspended today.

We recently partnered with the Porter County Sheriff's Office to provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for local law enforcement, first responders, dispatchers, and social workers. This week-long training equips frontline professionals with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively respond to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This can help to reduce risk, divert people from the justice system, and connect people with services and support they truly need. Thank you to the following agencies and organizations for joining us in this training:

Gary Police Department, Indiana Department of Correction, Lake Station Fire & Rescue / EMS, Michigan City Police Department, Northwest Health, Portage Police Department (Indiana), Porter County Central Communications (911), Porter County Juvenile Detention, South Haven Fire Department, Valparaiso Police Department, and Valparaiso University Police Department.
