There have been empty sandbags, a pile of sand, and shovels available at the following locations since yesterday at 2PM, and will continue to be available today. The locations are open 24 hours per day. It is self-serve with no assistance to fill or lift bags. Please bring your own shovel, and leave ours behind for the next user. “Loss” of the shovels will affect the availability of sandbags.

The betterment of services to the citizens of ValP is first and foremost. With this model coming to fruition, it’s important that through this coordinated effort, help is coming quickly! There are occasions where we can be tied up on another incident and can’t respond, having this in place will limit delayed responses. However; in those rare cases of delayed responses the next responding unit isn’t coming from across the county but only from the neighboring district. This being the closest unit to your emergency! We believe this can save lives!
