Individualized Parent/Student Senior Planning Meetings will be available this fall to help the Class of 2027 prepare for what comes next!

Meetings will cover college and career planning, financial aid, scholarships, testing and other important steps toward life after high school.

All visitors who wish to attend must enter through Arena Door #2 beginning at 2:20 p.m. Visitor badges will be issued.

🕒 Student Release:
Students will be released at 3:10 p.m. or at the conclusion of the pep rally.

🚌 Bus Transportation:
Buses will run at their regularly scheduled times.

📣 VAHS Parents & Students: A Few Important Updates

The deadline to submit schedule change requests is Wednesday, August 26. Students should use the form posted in their grade-level Google Classroom and continue attending their current classes until contacted by a counselor.

VAHS is also preparing information for upcoming SAT, ACT and PSAT registration, along with AP fall payments. Additional details will be shared soon.

We want to remind families of bus riders to download the My Ride K-12 app!

The app will also allow parents to do the following:

🚌 View bus stop locations and estimated arrival times
🔔 Receive notifications about delays and route changes
👨‍🎓 Access student transportation details, including bus numbers and pickup/drop-off information
📍 Stay informed throughout the school year

Adventure Awaits!

7th-12th grade VA students have an incredible opportunity to take learning outside the classroom and all the way to Wyoming!

Students will have the chance to experience some amazing destinations, including Yellowstone's Upper and Lower Falls, Snake River, Snow King Observatory, and Mammoth Hot Springs, creating memories while learning through real-world experiences.

Career and Technical Education is more than learning a trade or preparing for a job—it’s about discovering interests, developing real-world skills, and exploring the possibilities ahead.

The VAHS CTE Department is dedicated to giving students hands-on learning experiences that connect the classroom to future careers. Through industry-relevant instruction, practical experiences, and opportunities to build valuable skills, our CTE teachers help students discover their strengths, explore career pathways, and prepare for success beyond high school.

New to VAISD (Grades 10–12): 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
10th Grade: 1:00–2:00 p.m.
11th Grade: 2:00–3:00 p.m.
12th Grade: 3:00–3:45 p.m.

A heartfelt Thank You to the Van Alstyne American Legion Auxiliary for their generous donation to our campus! We are incredibly grateful for your support of our teachers and students. This donation will be used to purchase teacher supplies that will directly support learning in our classrooms. Thank you for investing in our educators and helping us continue to provide the very best for our students. We truly appreciate your generosity and partnership with our school community!

The American Legion Auxiliary post 376 not only cooks great fish. 🐟🐟They do a lot more throughout the year for our Veterans, community and schools. Today we had the pleasure of giving a $1000 donation to the Van Alstyne high school for our teachers to help with their supplies and needs. This is just a little part of the way we give back throughout the year. We are so happy and proud we are able to continue this every year!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
