Meet the R.E.A.L. Class of 2026!

These young people spent their summer doing more than just earning a paycheck — they worked, learned, served, and made a difference right here in Van Buren Township!

Throughout the R.E.A.L. program, participants gained hands-on work experience alongside Township staff, learned CPR & First Aid, helped local senior residents with yard work and landscaping, and even created the beautiful new Butterfly Garden at Van Buren Park.

We’re proud of the hard work, growth, and positive attitudes this group brought with them all summer long.

The R.E.A.L. Class of 2026 has officially left their mark on Van Buren Township with a beautiful new Butterfly Garden at Van Buren Park!

Our R.E.A.L. youth rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty, and created something special for the entire community to enjoy — all while learning new skills, working as a team, and gaining real-world experience.

Find the garden near the Veterans Garden of Honor and stop by to see their hard work in bloom.

We couldn’t be prouder of this crew!

That’s what our Fall Pickleball Ladder League is all about.
