DEPUTY INJURED IN ATTEMPTED FIRE RESCUE: Crawford County Sheriff's Office Deputy Robin Gaines is in ICU with first, second, and third degree burns after racing into a burning home earlier this morning in Dyer, AR. 3 people made it out of the home but one person died. CCSO says, fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening. Here is a look at this massive fire ~> https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1B7wHvZ32G/?mibextid=wwXIfr

In 2021 while working with the Fort Smith Police Department, then-Officer Gaines was stabbed by a man who had killed two family members. Gaines was able to fire and kill the assailant. He was later named in 2022 as the Arkansas Officer of the Year.

It is Halloween and you are watching a movie appropriate for the occasion. You get up to make more popcorn because your friends have eaten it all and have started acting like gremlins when you feed them after a certain time. They were all acting wild and the movie was getting to one of the jump scare parts everyone was quiet waiting to see if the main character gets found. They hear a little noise coming from the couch. There is light from under the pillow. Everyone is terrified. Finally you are back with the popcorn and move the pillow and realize you called 911. You hang up really fast because it was an accident. Then you hear a knock at the door just as the slasher opens the closet to find the main character is not in that one. A voice from the other side of the door says "This is Crawford County Sheriff's Department open the door!" Everyone's anxiety is through the roof. They sound angry. You answer the door and explain the situation to the 3 deputies that showed up. They heard the friends acting wild and the movie in the background. They thought someone was being murdered!! Next time stay on the phone and explain it was an accident and what is going on, and maybe your movie night won't be ruined. Accidentally calling 911 can be a scary situation but there are scarier things that happen!!
