Thank you Arvest Bank for your generous donation to City of Van Buren - City Hall. This money will be used by our Parks and Recreation department to place a shade structure over Mayor Gene Bell park.

If you travel through Lillie and Legacy, you may have noticed the new stop signs that have been installed at the intersection.

Legacy has experienced an increase in traffic because of its close proximity to Walmart, along with drivers using the street as an alternative to some of the heavier-traffic areas. With more vehicles traveling through the neighborhood, making sure our streets are safe for drivers, pedestrians, and especially our kids is important.

The “No Parking” sign was also moved farther down the street to improve visibility and make sure drivers have a clear view of the new stop signs.

If you use this route, please slow down, pay attention, and come to a complete stop at the signs. We have children riding bikes, playing, and walking throughout these neighborhoods, and everyone’s extra attention can help keep them safe.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Mayor Hurst for his quick response and attention to this concern. I also want to thank the Van Buren Street Department for getting the work completed quickly and professionally.

This is exactly what I want to see in Ward 3 — neighbors speaking up about concerns, city leadership listening, and working together to get things done.

We’re going to keep working to make Ward 3 a safer and better place to live.

If you see something in your neighborhood that needs attention, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Head downtown to find awesome shops, great coffee, amazing food!

My family and I have spent the better part of the last two years going to every state park in Arkansas. There are 53 and we saw every inch of Arkansas. You will be hard pressed to find a cuter downtown area than right here in Van Buren, Arkansas

Don’t Let the Construction Deter You! ❤️

Historic Downtown Van Buren is OPEN and ready for you! While Main Street upgrades are underway and the 300 block of Main Street is temporarily closed, there’s still plenty to see, shop, eat, and explore!

🛍️ Start on the 200 block, then detour around the 300 block by strolling across the historic grounds of the Crawford County Courthouse. From there, pick right back up on the 400 block and make your way to Freedom Park! 🌳

It’s a great time to stroll downtown, discover a new shop, grab a bite, and enjoy the charm and history of Van Buren along the way.

Come downtown. Shop local. Support local.

And if you're worried about parking, we've got you covered!
