We will celebrate our Grandparents at King on Thursday, Sept. 10 and Friday, Sept. 11th. Grandparents are invited to eat lunch with their grandchildren on those days. We will have two separate lunch opportunities for you. Thursday will be for students with last names A-J and Friday you can eat with students last names K-Z. The two separate days will help with crowd congestion. We will not be calling students from other grades to different lunch times, you will need to join them during their regular lunch time. Teachers will be sending home flyers with RSVP information to be returned. We look forward to celebrating you! Happy Grandparents Day from King! 💙🏰

Wow! What an opportunity for our King School Honor Choir. They did an amazing job singing with the Pointer Choir tonight at Blakemore Field. Thank you to Mrs Honeycutt-Bain for investing in and leading these students. We are very proud!💙🏰

Today was a great day at King! We launched our new King House System. Our House System is based on our BRAVE matrix and helps to promote our positive culture and climate. We have 5 houses: House of Respect (purple), House of Responsibility (blue), House of Positivity (yellow), House of Safety (green), and the House of Effort (orange). Talk with your kids to see which house they are in and as a parent you are a part of that house too! We will keep data points through the year and ultimately have an overall House winner. Our 3 data points at this point are attendance, least amount of office referrals, and the amount of books read. It’s an exciting time at King and it’s going to be a great year! It’s ALWAYS a great day to be a King School Knight. 💙🏰

King School is partnering with Simply Sisters Clothing Co. for our t-shirt fundraiser. So many cute styles to choose from for you and your child. Order forms should be in your child’s backpack and orders are due Sept. 11th! What a great way to show King School pride!💙

We are SO proud of our Honor Choir for being invited to sing along with the VBSD Choir students! 🎶

Our program-wide All-Sing National Anthem and Alma Mater is this upcoming Friday at our first home game of the season! We are thrilled to include, for the FIRST year ever, King Elementary’s 5th Grade Honor Choir! Come watch over 600 students rock the field!🐾
