This is the first Gold certified LEED® for Schools™ project in the state of AR.

This 82,000 square-foot facility features a FEMA storm shelter, geothermal system with 135-count well field, a rainwater harvesting system, a full service kitchen, a dining room with stage, a gymnasium, a media center, a computer lab, a music room, an art room, two multi-purpose instructional areas, an administration area and 27 classrooms.

Congratulations to Madison Linker, our UAFS Yearlong Paid Resident, for accepting a teaching position at Pocola Elementary, and to our UAFS Intern, Addison Ray, for accepting a teaching position at Alma Intermediate. We are so proud of all the hard work these ladies have done. They are going to make a difference in the lives of children, and we are glad they were part of King Elementary. Go do great things! 💙🏰
