☀️🏅 Summer Special Olympics Arkansas 🏅☀️

This week, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was proud to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas, carrying the Flame of Hope alongside agencies from across the state and helping kick off the 2026 Summer Games.

The Summer Games bring together more than 2,000 athletes from across Arkansas to compete, inspire, and remind us all what courage, determination, and heart truly look like.

To our incredible athletes: thank you for inspiring us every single day. Your dedication and spirit are what this is all about. ❤️

It is an honor for CCSO to stand with our law enforcement partners and our community in support of these amazing athletes. We don’t just run for a cause—we run for inclusion, opportunity, and the athletes who make it all worthwhile.

⛈️🏃‍♂️🔥 Rain, storms, thunder, and soaked shoes… today’s weather definitely tried to slow us down — but the Torch Run waits for no forecast! 😅

Today, we proudly ran for a purpose much bigger than ourselves — supporting the incredible athletes of Special Olympics Arkansas. Every mile, every step, and every raindrop was worth it for our athletes. ❤️

No storm could stop this crew — because we do it all for the athletes. 💪🔥

On average, every 54 minutes a passenger vehicle occupant not wearing a seat belt dies in a traffic crash.
Men make up the majority of those killed in traffic crashes. Men are also overrepresented in unrestrained passenger vehicle occupant fatalities with 53% of men and 40% of women dying without a seat belt in 2024.
