📢 PUBLIC NOTICE: OUTDOOR SIREN TEST
Culberson County Office of Emergency Management will conduct a scheduled test of the county’s outdoor emergency alert siren system this Friday at 12:00 noon.
Residents and visitors may hear the outdoor warning sirens during the test. This is only a test, and no action is required from the public.
The purpose of routine testing is to help ensure the outdoor alert system is operating properly and remains ready to notify the community during an emergency.
Please help share this information with family, friends, neighbors, employees, and visitors in Culberson County.

This session provides important updates and preparedness information regarding the potential impacts of New World Screwworm and the coordinated efforts needed to protect livestock, wildlife, pets, and our community. OEM remains committed to working with our local, state, and federal partners to ensure Culberson County stays informed and prepared.

Welcome back, CCAISD students, teachers, staff, and families! We hope everyone has a safe, successful, and exciting school year.
As we begin a new year of learning and growth, Culberson County Office of Emergency Management encourages our community to keep school safety a shared priority. A safe school year depends on awareness, preparation, and looking out for one another.
Back-to-School Safety Tips
• Slow down in school zones. Observe posted speed limits, avoid distractions, and watch closely for children crossing streets or getting on and off buses.
• Stop for school buses. Be alert for flashing red lights and stop arms. Never pass a school bus that is loading or unloading students.
• Plan safe routes. Families should review walking, biking, and drop-off/pick-up routes with students, including where to cross safely and who to contact if plans change.
• Use crosswalks and sidewalks. Students walking or riding bicycles should stay alert, cross only at designated locations when possible, and avoid using headphones or phones near traffic.
• Teach emergency contact information. Make sure students know their parent or guardian’s phone number, home address, and a trusted emergency contact.
• Keep health needs current. Update school records with current contact information, medical needs, medications, allergies, and approved pickup contacts.
• Report concerns early. Students, parents, and staff should immediately report suspicious activity, threats, unsafe conditions, bullying, or concerns about a student’s well-being to school staff or law enforcement.
• Be prepared for emergencies. Talk with your family about what to do during severe weather, power outages, fires, lockdowns, or other emergencies. Keep emergency contacts and communication plans up to date.
• Drive distraction-free. Put phones away while driving, especially near campuses, bus stops, crosswalks, and residential areas.
• Lead with kindness. A welcoming, respectful school environment helps every student feel safe enough to learn and succeed.

🦅 Welcome back, Eagle family! 🦅
To help keep our students safe and make traffic flow as smoothly as possible during arrival and dismissal, here is a quick guide to our drop-off, pick-up, and grade-level release procedures.

All students will ENTER through the front of the school

📍 Release Locations by Grade & Activity
- Pre-K through 2nd Grade & High School: Green X area (front of the school)
- 3rd Grade through 5th Grade: Orange X area (along W 7th St)
- Junior High (Football & Off Season): Eagle Field House
- Junior High (Volleyball): Curry Gymnasium

🚗 Traffic & Safety Etiquette
- Please use the official drive-through drop-off/pick-up line when dropping off or picking up your children (blue arrow)
- To ensure maximum safety for our walking students, please do not cut through or drive through the parking lot to drop off kids. Please save the parking lot for those parking to enter the campus and for the parents walking their kids to the front of the school.
-For parents walking up to drop off or pick up your child, please meet them before the flag poles in the front. This keeps the loading area clear, safe, and moving smoothly for everyone.
