ALERT - WARNING - Danger to Dogs in Van Horn and surrounding area:

If you have recently acquired or purchased an Igloo Dog House for small to medium dogs from a local person, or if someone is attempting to sell you one, it may be the one that was stolen from the back of the Van Horn Community Christian Shelter.

This particular item was exposed to an extremely dangerous canine disease. We were waiting for arrival of the proper chemicals to sanitize and sterilize it. You will not be able to fix this yourself. The bedding and wood-chips were removed and dumped near where we had the item setting; this was no accident as the bedding was pinned inside and would have not been easy to remove; some time was used dismantling the dog house.

If you have knowledge of where the dog house may be, please contact the shelter office as soon as possible. We can positively identify the correct one. Thank you.

We would like to give a big "THANK YOU!" to the Van Horn High School Senior Class - after returning from their Senior Trip today they were told they could divide up the remaining food supplies from their trip. But instead, they voted to donate it to the Van Horn Community Christan Shelter! Your donation is much appreciated and will be put to great use!
