Meet Avery Scandridge, a new member of our team! Avery will be serving as a secondary math teacher for the 2026-27 school year. 📚

Avery is from Mount Pleasant and attended SCC and UNI. Outside of the classroom, Avery enjoys golfing, working out, playing soccer, and listening to music.

Our 2nd-5th grade students enjoyed some math fun with Mrs. Flaws during the first week of school! Students put their estimation skills to the test with an estimation clipboard activity and warmed up their math brains with a fun new game. What a great way to kick off a year of learning, thinking, and problem-solving! 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Sashea Flaws as a new member of our staff for the 2026-27 school year! She will be joining us as a 4th grade teacher. 🍎

A Carlisle native, Sashea earned her degree from Upper Iowa University. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys watching Van Meter sporting events, spending time with her two daughters, reading books, and playing outside.

We’re looking forward to seeing the connections Sashea will build with students and families throughout the school year. We are happy to have her with us!
