🎓❤️ College Gear Wednesdays! ❤️🎓

We love seeing our Vandals represent their favorite colleges! 🤘🎓 Join in the fun by wearing college gear on Wednesdays! Whether it’s the college you dream of attending one day or the team you spend your Saturdays cheering for (or yelling at! 😂🏈), let’s show off that college pride!

Here are a few of our Vandals sporting their college gear on recent Wednesdays! ❤️🤍 We can’t wait to see more college pride in Vandal Land!

Dream big, Vandals! Your future is full of possibilities! 🎓❤️🤍

👻🚀 Ghosts were taking off in Ms. Freeman's 6th grade science class today!

Our sixth grade scientist have been studying Force and Motion, and today they put it to the test with the Flying Ghost Launch Lab. Working with lab partners, students dropped Alka-Seltzer into a film canister with water, snapped on the lid, and watched their ghost rocket blast off! 💥

The big question: does more Alka-Seltzer make the ghost fly higher? One partner tested a half tablet, the other tested a whole tablet, and they measured each launch, found their averages, and graphed the results. Then they used their evidence to explain what was really happening:

⚖️ Balanced forces: the canister sits still on the table
💨 Unbalanced forces: gas builds up and pushes the lid down and the canister up
🌍 Gravity pulls it back to the ground
🔁 Newton's Third Law: every action has an equal and opposite reaction

Safety goggles on, data collected, and a lot of laughing along the way. This is what hands-on science looks like! 🔬
