The amazing Ms. Kara does it again! We had a great turn out for our STEAM program today, where the kids learned all about geodes and geology. We have many more fun kids programs planned for June and July, and we can't wait to see you!

One of the fun activities we're doing this summer is a Stick Together puzzle: a collaborative project that's a bit like a paint-by-number, but with stickers! Each time you return your books, we'll give you a couple stickers to add to the poster, and by the end of the summer, it will reveal a surprise dinosaur picture!

This Thursday, May 28th, come see us at the VFL Elementary gym where we'll be hosting a mobile planetarium with A Time for Science! There will be two sessions, one at 1:30 pm and another a 2 pm.

The stars are aligning, right here in Craven County! Come explore the depths of the universe with this special Mobile Planetarium experience in partnership with the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences! Please note that space is limited, so some locations have recommended you register in advance to ensure a spot.

All Craven-Pamlico Regional Library branches will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. Book drop-off boxes are available 24/7 at your local library branch.

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE! 🦖 Dinosaurs have officially taken over the library! We're so excited that registration for the Summer Reading Challenge starts TODAY, so stop by the library to pick up your reading logs and free goodie bag! You can start reading as soon as you register - you have until July 31 to complete your reading log, receive your completion prize, and be eligible for our grand prizes.

Visit us at 12:30 pm tomorrow for a mermaid themed Super Saturday! We'll have mermaid themed stories, a treasure hunt, and a craft. Families of all ages are welcome. Mermaid and/or ocean themed outfits are encouraged, but not required.

Next week, our Home School STEAM Club (11 am) will be learning about the solar system and making their own space themed artwork! Then, our After School STEAM Club (4:30 pm) will be exploring renewable energy with a couple exciting building kits!
